About the Project

NW 7th Avenue is a major thoroughfare with commercial businesses in the Wynwood Art District. DFA was approached to develop concepts for elevating the destination into a more people-friendly, experiential environment for exploring. The master planning and architectural design approaches DFA took were to retain and renovate, or envision a taller new construction which offered space for artist studios. By integrating Miami’s art scene and enhancing the public realm, and potentially offering space for creativity, the site would become an iconic, symbiotic place where culture, commerce and the natural world co-exist.
